In recognition of projects that preserve and beautify the Tower Grove East and Fox Park Neighborhoods, DeSales Community Housing Corporation will hold its annual Golden Brick Awards on Wednesday, June 17. DeSales has awarded the Golden Brick to residents and businesses for over ten years. In honor of this year’s recipients, a reception will be held at 3458 Utah, St. Louis, MO 63118 at 5:30pm. The presentaiton of the awards will immediately follow the reception.
- Ann Manubay and Dabney Frake - for the rehabiliation of 3458 Utah
- Cafe’ Mochi - for the rehabiliation of 3221 S. Grand
- Christine Kniffen and Tamara Helvenston - for landscaping at 2615 Pennsylvania
- Paramount Property Development - for the rebahilitation of the Wachter Motor Company Car Lofts at 2600 Nebraska
- KIPP Inspire Academy - for the renovaiton of the old St. Francis DeSales High School building at 2647 Ohio.
- Steve and Betty Neale-Oestreicher - for landscaping at 2601 S. Compton
- David and Many Lott -0 for the rehabilitation of 3516 Magnolia
- Lynn and Constance Sudyam - for the rehabilitation of 2623 Ann
- Janine and Stephen Lawler - for renovation work at 3558 Halliday

Nominations are currently being accepted for the 17th Annual Golden Brick Awards. Sponsored by DeSales Community Housing Corporation, the Golden Brick Awards are given to people and projects that have contributed positively to the Fox Park and Tower Grove East neighborhoods over the past year. Nominees can include individuals, businesses, and/or institutions that have demonstrated a commitment towards improving the neighborhoods. Projects can be big or small, ranging from the complete rehab of a house to clean up efforts around the neighborhood. Nomination forms are due by June 5.
